Philippians 3:13-14 is a frequently cited verse that encourages looking forward and not dwelling on the past: "Brothers & Sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Yeshua - Christ Jesus." This verse, often paraphrased as "forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what is ahead", emphasizes the importance of focusing on future goals and spiritual growth rather than past failures or successes.
